Getting started

Start with one real business problem.

Nobody deploys the whole architecture on day one. A POLARIS IQ engagement starts with one process or intelligence problem, measures the result against today, and grows from there.

One process or intelligence problem worth solving first.

Bring in the relevant information, systems and context.

Set up models and agents, and define the controls.

Measure outcomes against today, then expand what works.

What you get
01One problem, clearly scopedA single process or question, with the systems and people it involves.
02Results you can measureOutcomes are compared with how the process runs today.
03A clear path to growFrom one use case to connected workflows and, in time, the wider business.

How we deliver

Four stages, each ending with something you can see and review before the next one starts.

01

Choose

Agree one process or intelligence problem, its owner and what a good result looks like.

02

Connect

Connect the relevant information and systems, and establish the business context.

03

Configure

Set up models and agents, define the controls, and deploy with the process owner.

04

Measure

Measure outcomes against how the process runs today, then decide how to expand.

A first phase on late customer orders

A manufacturer's customers often ask why their orders are late. Staff have to piece the answer together from four different systems.

A first phase could cover

We agree scope with you before work starts. For this kind of request, a first phase usually covers:

  • Read-only connections to orders, logistics, supplier portal and production data
  • Answers to why an order is late, traced across systems with sources shown
  • Suggested next steps sent to the operations manager, with results measured

A typical project, described to show the shape of the work. It is not a specific client.

Where this applies

The same engineering, shaped by the rules and realities of each sector.

Manufacturing

A first phase on late orders, linking production, suppliers and shipments.

Financial services

A first phase on unusual payments, linking transactions, devices and client records.

Media and broadcast

A first phase on live event readiness, linking audience, capacity and advertisers.

Energy and utilities

A first phase on asset maintenance, linking sensors, crews and contracts.

Healthcare

A first phase on patient flow, linking arrivals, beds and rostering.

Logistics and supply chain

A first phase on late shipments, linking bookings, carriers and customers.

Frequently asked questions

What makes a good first problem to solve?

A real problem that matters to the business, has a clear owner, and draws on information spread across more than one system. It should be possible to compare results with how the process runs today.

How is it priced?

It depends on the problem, the systems involved and where POLARIS IQ will run. We agree the scope and cost after an initial discussion, before any work starts.

Do we need to change our systems?

No. POLARIS IQ connects to the systems you already run, usually read-only at first. Write-back is added only through approved actions.

What happens after the first phase?

If the results hold up, it grows step by step: from one use case to one workflow, then multiple connected workflows, cross-function intelligence and, in time, enterprise intelligence.
